In the middle East, base in religion or culture they are plenty of places that if the man is unfaithful , he is a MAN! but if the women is unfaithful or just rumors withouth proof , she get kill.
Also in the Middle East with the same note ; if a marriage is disolve ; the children must stay with the dad and the mother by their law does not stand a chance or have visitation rights at all. Noting: this is only in some of the Middle East Countries and is based on Religion's beliefs and laws...
Here in America we are not that extreme but ; Are we in the same page? I would like to say that we aren't; but I would be lying. We might not kill the women for not being loyal to the husband or boyfriend ; but we do call them horrible names and label them as " bad women" and so on. The sad part is, if the man does it; he is just being a man. That is double standard!
The sad part is that is not the men the first ones to throw the stones; most of the time are women.
And another example is many women doing the same job with the same education as a man ; but their wages are less, Why? because their women.
There is hope ; the people are changing points of view, they are more aware of it and law makers are helping with new laws at the labor department and other areas...
