Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton were competing to lead America. Although, they both had very different views. Jefferson wanted everyone to become a farmer, and saw a huge future for Agriculture. But Hamilton wanted to enforce the idea of industrialization and factories and machines. In the end, George Washington ended up choosing Hamilton's idea, as you can probably see today. :)
