Best Answer
  1. Solar energy is clean, green and renewable.
  2. It has no polluting carbon dioxide emissions and is not increasing global warming.
  3. Our lives originate from the nuclear reactions happening in the sun. After organic compounds form living matters, the solar energy provides food and energy to keep living matters alive and thrive. For example, sunlight absorbed by chlorophylls in plants convert water and carbon dioxide into sugars for the plants and oxygen for animals to breathe. The plants and animals die at the end of each life cycle, buried, cooked under high pressure, to form the crude oil we use for plastics, gasoline, and electricity. Animals eat plants or other animals to survive and reproduce; the plants grow and reproduce too. The source of activities is the sun. Imagine if the sun is blocked for many years. All plants will eventually die. The animals will run of food someday and die too. The earth will have no more living matter.
  4. It comes from the sun.
  5. It uses the sun to power it up.
  6. The bills are cheaper and its renewable.
  7. Solar energy is energy from the sun in the form of radiated heat and light that is converted into electricity.
  8. Did you know that the solar energy today is as old as the Earth? Yea, the solar energy was made when the Earth was made, over 6,000 years ago!
  9. Solar energy arriving from the Sun is roughly 1kW per m^2. But varies with season and latitude.
  10. It may be used directly as solar heat, or the energy may be converted into electricity for further use.
  11. And of course is used by plants for photosynthesis.
  12. Apart from some radioactive heat in the Earth's core, all the energy we have access to is solar derived. Including, oil, coal, etc.
