It is generally accepted that the Sphinx was built by Pharaoh Khafre - c2575 to c2465 BC - during the Old Kingdom, the age of the Great Pyramid builders. It is believed that Khafre's workers shaped the stone into the lion and gave it their king's face. It was carved out of a single block of limestone of varying quality. The approximate dimensions in feet are that it is 240 long, 20 wide and 65 high
1. It was for Khafre.

2. It was to guard Khafre's tomb, the second pyramid of Giza.

3. It was carved out of the ground.

4. It is the body of a lion and the head of Khafre

5. It was originally colored.

The pyramid built by Pharaoh Khufu about 2550 B.C. as his tomb.

It is estimated that in excess of 2,000,000 limestone blocks were used giving the pyramid an estimated total mass weight of 6,000,000 tons. it is estimated the blocks weighed an average of 2.5 to 15 tons each.

It is estimated that, at construction, the Great Pyramid was about 489.97 feet high [but less now] with each base side about 756.2 feet.

The links below will give fuller information regarding the great pyramid.

I'm interested in knowing what happened to it's nose.

I'm interested in knowing what lies in the open spaces beneath it.

I would like to see the imagery of the open spaces beneath it revealed to the world at large.

I would like to see the officials in charge of it replaced with more open leaders.

I would like to know at what depth the water lines appear on it's base.

I would like to know what authoritative sources (if any) claim that it lies at the exact spot on the Earth that is largest, longitudinally AND latitudinally.

I would like to know in which direction it is facing, and why it faces that particular way.

I would like to know if it ever actaully had a name, like 'Spot' or 'Leo' or something.
