What are fan fiction sites?

Fan Fiction sites are places where you can go and submit stories. Like, if you're reading the House of Night series, and you want to write what you think will happen in the next book, or what you WANT to happen in the next book, you can post it there. BUT, you have to put a "disclaimer" saying that you do not own the characters and that they belong to whoever wrote the actual series.
