well, when i broke my foot, i also had a severely sprained ankle and all of my muscles around my foot and up my leg were pulled and stuff, so it's hard for me to pin point exactly what i was feeling was from the break or the sprain... but it's an intense pain, and to me it's really hard to explain. at first my foot and leg went completely numb, and i felt and heard three pops when it happened. then i could feel my foot just start to swoll up and it got all tingly and it felt almost like my foot got slammed really hard between a door or something. i tried to take my shoe off but people were yelling at me not to. i tolerate pain well, and honestly i only thought i twisted my ankle or rolled it.. until i started to sweat really bad and my whole body started to shake. i had a line going up my leg and my leg was already starting to bruise. it didn't really start to hurt really bad until i got into the car and the bumpy and shakey ride to the hospital was painful. i was supposed to be on crutches for 8 weeks but iwas stubborn and only used them for about 4 or 5. which i kind of regret, because now i have a form of othritis because i never let it heal completely. they said it will take up to 2 years to totally heal. but i guess i would say the top 5 would be - burning - sharpness - swolling - sweating - shaking often times, your body goes into shock too, so you don't feel it immediately.
