Twist a fine piece of steel wool into a 'string.' Touch each side to opposite ends of a battery, and it will spark and ignite.
Flint and steel
You can also use a magnifying glass to focus the heat of the sun or you could just use a lighter. You can also use a bow to spin a stick of wood rapidly to produce heat, the same effect can be obtained by rubbing a stick rapidly against another piece of wood.
There are hundreds of ways to start a fire without matches. Swedish Firesteel or BlastMatch are very popular. However, the most reliable way to do it without tools or supplies is by using a bow drill (using the hand drill described above gets you blisters more often than an ember for a fire). You don't need a knife to make one and can use your shoelace for the bow string. It usually takes 30 mins to an hour the first time you use one. But, it can save your life if you get lost.

I light a fire work with out a lighter I only use 2 sticks and I rup them together and imade fire so now Iight up the firework
A beam of sunlight focused through a magnifying glass works well.
Friction, as mentioned above is a lot of work and requires patience, practice and a "fire drill" to work best.
Flint and steel struck together will produce a spark that will work.
With a match stick :)
With a match stick :)
Friction. He rubbed a stick on a grooved stick with tender on one end.
No you need friction to make heat to start a fire. Yes, if that stick is a "strike anywhere" matchstick! Yes you can. You can make all the parts of a bow-drill or a hand-drill fire-making kit with one piece of wood if you cut it into pieces and make the parts you need. I've done it.
If you don't have a lighter or a match! ..... Roll a stick between the hands while pressing one end against the other stick. Alternatively, if you make a groove in one stick, rub the other stick back and forth in the groove. Have some tinder ready, or some dry straw, so that you can apply it to the hot wood when it is ready to ignite, and set fire to it.
torch
To make a redstone torch, you must have one redstone dust and one stick. You put the stick on the bottom and the redstone dust above the stick. It's the same recipe as a torch, only with redstone dust instead of coal.
torch
You can have only one stick of ram for an R50 Thinkpad. 2 would be optimal for better performance however one stick will operate fine.
make one saltpeter and 5 fire
Only the type of fire that is highlighted
They used a baking tray, not a non stick one obviously it was just a one made out of metal! Or if it was quite big they would stick it in the oven/fire.
