A Genet is a mammal that lives in Africa, and Europe. A LOT of people don't know what they are, and they are one of my favorite animals. I am doing this right outta my head, so I am sorry if I get some facts wrong.
They eat fruits, and hunt small prey. The main species of Genets is Rusted, and Spotted Genets...
They are considered pests because they eat only the body of their prey, and they leave the rast to rot...
The word itself means pertaining to genes. There are several types including what is actually in our genes (genotype) and how these genes are expressed (phenotype). The realization that traits and certain diseases can be passed from parent to offspring stretches back at least to the ancient Greeks, well before any genome was actually decoded. The Greek physician Hippocrates theorized that "seeds" from different parts of the body were transmitted to newly conceived embryos, a theory known as pangenesis.
passing on of characteristics from parent to offspring.
