It's a fine inexpensive rifle for youth. It is designed for learning how to handle a rifle safely and for plinking at targets. It is not a hunting or competition rifle, but is designed for fun.
With the permission of your PARENTS, you must be old enough to reach the trigger- there is no minimum age. Without your parent's permission, you must be at least 18, an adult. For what it is worth, my granddaughter began shooting with me at age 9, and now at age 13 shoots in competition- with a 22 target rifle. Good luck!

The 54 is good but I like the 50 better. It is faster, flatter shooting and at most distances it will outperform the 54, Have a good one.

The 770 is a budget grade HUNTING rifle, and was never intended for precision shooting. I am not aware of an aftermarket trigger made for this rifle- it would likely cost more than the rifle sold for. The factory set up is what it is- a good 250 yard deer rifle.
If you are looking for a good, quality, accurate, air rifle, look at the Beeman R7. It will last you a life time. You will enjoy shooting it. I would call it a Target only gun. You will need more power for hunting.
