You could visit Barcelona Cathedral for it's history and stunning architecture, the Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter) which is the original centre of the city, the Picasso Museum, Columbus Monument, Mercado de la Boqueria (a food market that specialises in Catalonian foods) and definitely La Rambla to see the street artists and performers.
