Just letting you know :) Peace
Many horses enjoy lazy days in a feild or pasture. Some like to graze (no matter how much your horse likes it they should never eat grass tooooo much or to fast), others like to roll in the dirt and run, some even enjoy when they are riden or worked, horse ecspecially like other horses where ever they are.
Horses (left as if wild) spend the majority of their time grazing. They also sleep- mostly standing up, and play with herd mates- particularly young horses, but even older horses feel their oats sometimes.
But in a stall, horses can't do these things, which is why they pick up vices- they are bored, so they start cribbing, kicking the walls, and pacing- all of which is damaging to the horse and/or the surrounding area.
Horse Riding can be considered a hobby depending on how much you love/hate it, and how much you do/don't ride. Example, if you love horses and ride ALL the time or whenever you have the chance, then yes Horse Riding is a major hobby for you. Although if you hate horses and hardly ever ride them then no, you obviously aren't that interested in them or riding. You can be inbetween, like me, I ride near every weekend and love horses hole-heartedly, they are my everything, but I hardly ever get to ride.
horses can do anything if they are trained right!
many horses love to run for fun others like rearing kicking and play fighting.
Horses do not have "hobbies." This is a human character that belongs only to humans, not horses. Thus, the question has no merit and adds no further value to the site.
