What are hydraulic systems?

Answer:
Systems which use liquids to transfer a force from one place to another. For example, a car's brakes are applied at the wheel by hydraulic cylinders which are themselves actuated by oil being forced into them from a pipe which is connected to a piston and cylinder at the brake pedal. The oil moves down the pipe when the driver presses the pedal.
