The Bible doesn't teach levels of holiness among men. It says in 1 Peter 1:15, it says: "But as He (God) which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation (behavior)." All Christians are to be holy (Greek: hagios, set apart, dedicated, upright).

In actuality, levels of class within Christianity is something that God hates, as indicated in Revelation 2:6: "But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate." The doctrine of clergy and laity carried out to a class difference is not acceptable to God.
