Answer

Any lump on a person's body should be checked out by their doctor. I suggest you make a doctor's appointment as soon as possible. I am not alarming you at all, but it's important and it could be as simple as cysts which people can have, but it's obvious this worries you and is painful, so please see your doctor. Don't panic, it is seldom cancer in that part of your body, so don't let that stop you from seeing your doctor.

Good luck Merry Christmas Marcy

I have the same problem so I asked my doctor about them. Once she saw them she said they were the result of blocked pores - basically really sore pimples. I have been using a shampoo for oily scalp. Hope this helps! Good luck.

Answer

I suffer from itchy, painful, worrisome bumps ranging from small pimple sized to several small fusing together to form a large boil sized bump. They come to a whitehead then crust over. It started as one or two. Over time they have increased to too many to count. They have started to extend down my neck, along the hairline behind my ears and even along the hairline in my face. They've shown up anywhere there's hair; eyebrow, upper lip, armpit. They have increased in number; take longer to go away. I try to let them resolve on their own so as not to cause scarring. I asked my doctor about it. She called it something with a really long name. She said "not to worry because they seem to be resolving on their own". I want to know what causes it. And why is it getting worse. Recently I've been treating them with apple cider vinegar. I've only tried this for a couple of days. It seems to draw them out faster and they get to the crusted over stage quicker. If I get a significant reaction, (such as it GOES AWAY!) I'll report back. Just seems that doctors don't like to tell you much these days.
