What are opinions on Heat Inc or Polaris Inc?

Answer:

Heat Inc

"Heat Inc" is "Harsh Environment Applied Technologies, Inc." which also calls itself, "heatfusion". They seem to specialize in surveillance technology and armor technology, with applications most suited to the military, and are quite legitimate.

What you are probably asking about is the following company:

HeatGroupInc also calls itself "Heat Inc", though I'm not aware that this is official. They are a New Jersey based company about a year old, and don't seem very legitimate at all.

They are purporting to be a group that assists companies in selling things. Which companies or products, they do not say. Their website is not focused on attracting customers, it's focused on attracting people to apply for work there.

Ripoff Reports has many complaints about this company, which apparently calls itself different names at different times.

Best avoided.

Polaris Inc

They are a sales firm, and are big on trying to hire tons of people nationwide. They imply unrealistic rates of pay - without ever quite saying how much - and apparently everyone is going to be a manager, as they only hire "management trainees".

They are a commission based company, and you will receive no salary or wages whatsoever. You can verify this by calling and asking them, and listening to them say with a straight face (so to speak) that they don't know.

As it turns out, you won't even be technically working for them, but will be an associated contractor or any other jargon that lets you work without any expectations of them, or obligation from them.

Best avoided.
