Actually, they are not. The band split up in the 1980's but got together in 2005 of Live 8, and that was after 24 years.
In 2009, Founding member, Richard Wright, passed away, Leaving Roger Walters, Nick Mason and David Gilmour.
David and Roger fell out and wouldn't perform on stage together. That was over 30 years ago, and were very successful in their own careers.
Suddenly this summer, an Charity event for Palestine Children closed the rift between David and Roger when they appeared on stage together without telling anyone at all.
Roger is on a world tour right now with The Wall and it is rumoured that David is to make a surprise appearance during one of Roger's concert's or two. In the meantime, David has been working with The Orb, and they have just released an album which is out now.
