What are pros and cons of stricter US immigration laws?

Answer:
Pros- our country's tax dollars will not be thrown away to people who don't pay for taxes because they are not citizens.
Cons- Cheap labor will cease to exist.

New and Improved

Clearly having immigration laws for starters is one huge positive in matters of immigrating to our nation. We are of the posture of making those laws much stricter. Why? Strict immigration laws allow for the United States to monitor every visa issued; moreover, by having stricter immigration laws may indeed discourage what the "Founders" referred to as "people of bad character..." out of the country.

On the "con" side there really isn't too much that would be disrupted in America that would warrant a downside. One could always state that "...oh well, there goes inexpensive (cheap) labor; however, with upwards of 20 million people here illegally, I can't see a problem with anything happening, realistically, to labor.
