Others are animal- like. They do not have chlorophyll so they aren't able to make their own food like plant-like protists. They are able to move.
Protists usually reproduce asexually, which is by cell division. The hereditary material located in the nucleus duplicates. Then the nucleus divides and the cytoplasm divides. 2 new genetically identicallly cells are produced. They can also reproduce sexually. The process of meiosis produces sex cells.
