What are rattlesnake adaptations?

[Edit]

i lived in florida for about 15 years before moving, in a town that was small at first but exploded, so i got to see first hand on wild animals encroaching on new dwellings.

1. you plant a garden, rodents tend to eat the vegatables, snakes like to hang out where food likes to wander by and be ambushed. thus the snake learns the garden is a magnet for rodents. learns to wander that new area for EASYER food prey.

2. " hey this spot aint to bad, warm, dry." sheds are a great lil dry safe spot to hide!

3." oh man that nice driveway is soooooo warm in the day, i gotta lay here and catch some rays !" they adapt to new man made heat reflectors where they can bask for warmth. " driveways, patios, roads. u get the point

4. you have a dog. thats a new predator for a rattlesnake. they learn to stay away of yards with dogs because the dam rattle dosnt scare those darn things away all the time.

the eastern diamondbacks are adapting to encrouching envirements every day in florida. some scientists say that there also adapting in a way that there loosing there rattles. when they rattle, it gives away there position. with no rattle it would be harder to find. and you would also have less of a chance to escape the bite if you dont hear him first.
