STDs can be accompanied by many symptoms or none at all. Some STDs (Genital Herpes, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis) may or may not have outward signs or symptoms of infection. Symptoms can include chancres, sores, bumps, redness, rashes, burning or painful urination, drainage ect. Other STDs (Hepatitis B, HIV, HPV) are not easily identified by outward symptoms of infection.

If you have concerns about being infected by HIV/STDs, the only way to know for sure is to get tested. Testing is widely available at area health departments.
