When there is a tornado warning, the news station says to go to the lowest floor of your house (basement or first floor), stay away from windows, go to a closet or small room, keep a battery radio, keep a flash light, and cover your head with your hands. If you are outside do not outrun the tornado, head to a reinforced building or shelter, do not stay in a mobile home, go to the nearest ditch, and do not panic.
