Saltwater hot tubs are spas ( hot tubs) that use a combination of salt water (IE Arctic Spas uses "dead sea" salts), electrolysis and ozone to purify the water. Just as in the case of salt water chlorinators for pools, the sanitizer is manufactured within the spa from the salt in the water.
