There was a Broadway play called ( The Unsinkable Molly Brown) later adapted to a movie starring Debbie Reynolds. Both were heavily advertised around l965. The Titanic disaster is an odd subject indeed for a musical comedy but so is World War II uprooting and dispersal- as in Sound of Music .
