Beagles are dogs that where originally used to hunt because of their great sense of smell but now they are normal house dogs and are very friendly but you have to walk them a lot because they are active and will chew and dig if they are bored

∙ 11y agoThe American Kennel Club (www.akc.org) says there is only one type of beagle. However, they do come in two sizes: the 13 inch, being any fully grown beagle up to 13 inches in height, and the 15 inch, being 13 to 15 inches tall. Animals taller than 15 inches do not qualify as beagles. There are sites that list Red Tick and Blue Tick as breeds, but the AKC lists these as possible colors, not individually recognized breeds. That said, there are many beagle color combinations and the AKC recognizes any of the "hound colors." I hope that helps!
