What are some causes and effect of tehnological advancement of the old and new stone age?

The most important cause of advancement was the localization of nomadic tribes; in other words people stopped roaming around hunting and gathering food and started cultivating the land. Once agriculture started, small villages began to spring up, and from there civilization as we know it started off.
