There was in need of more jobs, food, education, and housing. There was also lots of pollution in Mexico while this happened there.

For the above reasons there is the pressure and struggle of land and resources in the urban centers.Another effect is that the hard and energetic youth who will be working or improving about the rural or local industries and farms end up in the urban centers.

There is also a problem of family breakup because people migrate without their family along with them to search for "greener pasture" and white "color job" which is no where to be found in the urban centers.
