Well, there are the usual pet names, such as babe, doll, boo, hunny, love, etc. You could also take their first name and shorten it, such as Rachel being shortened to Rachy. Some people use their middle name instead of their first. Some people combine their first and middle name and some just use their initials (example: Cory Jonathan -- CJ). Another way that people come up with middle names is by something that they did, do, or something that happened involving them. (example: A girl poked a boy in my class and said he was squishy, so now we call him Squishy.) Also, you could have pair nicknames for example, Chalk and Cheese, Itchy and Stratchy, Chocolate and Milk, Fish & Chips.
