- You can buy some small Thank You Notes as most stores and at the bottom of the Thank You verse you can just sign it. Let the card do the talking for you.
Although notes that already say "Thank You" are sold, they are inappropriate. One should own some quality letter cards, perhaps with one's name embossed or printed or engraved on them. One should open those notes, and on the inside, start the beginning of each Thank You. Each note should be individualized. And should mention the reason why the note is being sent. Those same notes will be of service in the business world. In business today, so many email and fax notes are used, that a personal snail mail on quality letter paper or cards, stay on in the mind of the person receiving same. Those people are not likely to forget you. Even a blind lawyer asks his law cherk to hold those pieces of paper up to the light so that s/he can see the "water mark" signalling that the sender took time and money to send only the best to him or her.
And when a sympathy note is appropriate, it should be written in black ink, on white or ecru paper, with no other printing on the page. Sympathy cards are in poor taste, always.
