∙ 11y agoDirect planting is planting where you want that plant to grow, i.e. sowing seeds in a specific area. Indirect planting usually refers to plants that need to be grown in seed trays and potted on before finally planting out - most temperature sensitive plants are grown in this manner, in greenhouses and conservatories, for example.
