I recently sowed some moonflower seeds indoors and more than half of them have germinated within 2 weeks and are growing like wildfire! I'm a first timer and it's great to see such instant results. The seeds have a hard shell so I soaked them in water for about 2 days before sowing. Other than that I just used regular potting mix from the garden center and had them covered with plastic before they fully germinated. -david

A vast majority of all plant life has some form of seed. It is unlikely that any plant does not have some form of reproductive thing similar to a seed. It is a guarantee that pretty much every plant you will ever encounter will have seeds or a seed somewhere within its anatomy.
take the pea plant that produces round seeds and self pollinate it. if in the f1 progeny or in the next filial generation all the plants produce round seeds then it is a homozygous plant and if some seeds are round whereas some are wrinkled then the plant is heterozygous.

when you grow a plant such as a vegetable when you plant it not only your planting seeds but in some seeds there's extra seeds in it which is smaller then the seed so as it grows the extra seeds get inside of the plant.
