Look at every building around you. they were all developed with the use of calculus.
The pipes that carry the water that comes out of the tap; the wires that carry the electricity flowing into your computer right now; the computer itself. All involved calculus of some kind at some point in their design, development, creations, testing and implementation as usuable technologes.
The television, the cellular phone, the engine in your car. All of these and many many hundreds of other devices and objects in everyday life were developed and thought through, and are controlled by, calculus in some form (whether it is a complex algorithm program in the ECU or a simple recursive heuristic on a simple circuit board).

It depends on your outlook. I believe that calculus is fun ( : it was a great experience when i took it and it helps expand your knowledge.

What is the main difference between calculus and pre calculus?
At my high school, pre-cal mainly consists of trigonometry and advanced algebra and geometry. As the name suggests, it is very important for the preparation of entering a calculus course. In Calculus, using some, but not all, knowledge learned in pre-cal, you start to do things like solving derivatives and anti-derivatives. These help to solve instantaneous rate of change (or slope) of a curve, and the area under the curve, respectively, and much more advanced calculations. I think it is quite fun, though pretty hard sometimes. But then again I am a nerd.

That is not an easy question to answer. Many people find math hard in general and certainly some people find calculus hard to understand.Multivariable calculus is not really harder than single variable calculus. It is lots of fun since you learn about double and triple integrals, partial derivatives and lots more.I strongly suggest it for anyone who is thinking about taking it.
