The phone number and address search engine that I use all the time is whitepages.com.
You can do reverse phone lookups (who called me?) or find someone's name by their house address (I know Billy's friend lives here but what is his parents last name?).

Sorry, I don't think such a thing exists for email addresses. All the "free" ones I've encountered either want money to show you the rest of the results or promise to show you the results after you've completed one of their sponsor's offers.
