Making Sure You Are Remembered
You have two choies. The first one is (it is the smartest) do somthing really cool like get a band and do really good and win american idol. The next one is (this is really stupid) do some thing so stupid, like jump on a train and strip and do nakad danses and make up a song about being nood.
More Suggestions:
Keep a diary (on your PC if you like, but backed up on disk) and make sure it's available to those who survive you, so they can review your thoughts and experiences.
If you write letters - I include email here - keep a file of those which show who and what you are, and ensure others know how to access this. Again, you can back up on disk.
If you have special possessions which speak of you and your background, be sure you have a will leaving them to those who will treasure them. You can always leave money, of course, but in my experience that doesn't ensure you'll be remembered, it just ensures someone can go shopping.
If you know ahead of time that you're time's nearly up, give everything to a trusted friend or family member, who you are certain will share these memories of you with others.
Otherwise, have all the items you want your surviving friends and family to see kept in one place and make sure they know where to access these documents, photos and important possessions. And, of course, make a will.
On a large scale: become the president of a country and do something great, win the Nobel Peace Prize, find a cure for cancer.
On a small scale: do thoughtful and kind things for others (family, friends or strangers) and act from the heart.
Make a difference.
