What are some historical facts about Australia?

Answer:
Australia is the largest island, but the smallest continent. The first people to settle there were the Aborigines from Southeast Asia. They have brought their culture and customs to Australia and they are still living there today. Australia has some very exotic animals that can be found nowhere else on Earth! That is because it is separated far from other land-masses. Most Australians live along the coast in cities because of the fertile soil and rich vegetation. The other half of Australia is made up of the Outback, which is a dry arid desert region.
