Voyageurs National Park is the only NPS site designated a National Park. However, a number of other National Park Service sites exist in Minnesota, including Pipestone National Monument, Mississippi National Scenic River, Grand Portage National Monument, and North Country National Scenic Trail.
There are five National Park Service sites: Grand Portage National Monument, Mississippi National River & Recreation Area, North Country National Scenic Trail,Pipestone National Monument , and Voyageurs National Park.There are 74 state parks in Minnesota taken care of by the Department of Natural Resources. There are many other local parks for people to enjoy.
