Gold was around for a very long time. Many people have claimed that they have discovered it, but in reality, it doesnt have an exact 'discover-er' if you will. It got it's name from the old English word "gleou," which means yellow, coming from it's color of course. Many people say it was discovered in a saw-mill. but we just may never know.
