Advice from other contributors:
* if you want money at a young age well you better start working at labor fields, like picking fruit, vegetable and all those things up. i don't think there would be much stores who would want to hire a 13 or 14 year old not because of there appearance but age. they can sue the company and get you in a lot of trouble so if you want to work start with labor then at fifteen of sixteen get your work permit.(at least that work out for me) try it * I just helped my parents with mulching!!! People will pay you a lot to do that because professionals charge like an arm and a leg!!! * at the age of 13, teenagers can also have a paper round. == == * I don't think they can really get any other jobs. I believe that the government need to change that for 12 year old and younger can't get jobs. I think that since teen is in the name we should be treated as teens and get a job == == * When you turn 18 remember this and vote those liberal politicians who passed these child labor laws out of office. Then we can get cheap labor for our sweatshops again. == == * you could work for a friend or someone at your school if they have there own small business. == == * I think they should be able to at least work at the market or work at an family members office. == == * Try odd jobs. The best way to start this kind of thing is, go to the local church, community gatherings, become known around, and offer those people help with anything, from helping to paint their house to cutting lawns, errands, you name it. Maybe look around yard sales and buy things and sell them forward at Ebay or other online auction services (with help of a legal guardian or parent).Help out people, that's the gate for those small errand jobs. Another way is that if you have a computer, you could make a lot of things to help you some. Maybe learn how to create websites and offer your services, or create a community forum, be creative! Another resource is to check out some online places that will pay you for things like completing surveys and what not. One is explained at http://www.treasuretrooperguides.co. Try asking your friends what they do, because you surely aren't the only teenager around the neighborhood that is wondering how to get some extra spending cash. Best of luck with whatever you do! * I think the same with 12 and maybe 11 year old at least we should be able to do the paper round. I just think that we can make money to we are all people . I wished I lived in Canada, you can work at Burger King at 12 yr old <(^_^<)
Well, you could start your own business using your own creative ideas. You could make custom made bracelets or shirts. I live in Nebraska and kids here can do farm work and make good money. Detassleing corn pays more then 10 dollars a hour. When i was in jr high a van would pick up a group of kids from the local school and take them to the farmers. I live in the city now and last summer (2007) i saw a flyer that gave a number to call and where the pickup point was. It said starting wage 12.75 a hour! I thought wow. My city friends tell me that you don't get paid for the drive time but if youre 13 and makeing 50$ a day. Who cares? This is seasonal but maybe in your area there is farm work too.
