The aim of the game in Baseball is to have your teammates to run through the diamond completely without getting tagged. There are bases on each corner of the diamond where you can stop before being tagged. Don't make it in time, you're out.
Before you can do all that, let's look at the positions.
There are 9 batters in each team, each with defensive positions. In NL, it's the pitcher that does the pitching AND the batting, too. In AL, however, the pitcher only does the pitching and the DH does the batting instead.
A player order and roster can be edited by the managers and coaches.
In every play, a batter is up in one of the boxes beside the plate depending on the dominant hand. The pitcher throws the ball to the catcher (overhand only). The batter hits it, then he can run to any of the bases as long as he doesn't get tagged by a fielder with a ball. He must at least hit the first base, though. Otherwise, the batter's out. Don't hit it, however, one of the two things happen. If the batter swings and misses or the batter doesn't do anything although the ball is in the strike zone (over the home plate, above the batter's knees, AND below the batter's elbows), it's a strike. Three strikes, the batter's out. If the ball was outside the strike zone AND the batter just stood there, it's called BALL. BALL FOUR and then you just advance to the first base and continue from there (it's embarrassing that every base hit I made was ball four). During the next play, the runners (the batters that already ran up there) may sneak up to the next base... well... as long as they don't get caught. Three people on the batting side are out, then they switch roles. Once both teams got to bat, an inning ends, moving on to the next. They got nine innings to get more teammates to run home without being tagged (RBI) than the other team. The one with more RBIs wins. If, tied, then they keep playing until the tie is over.
Here are some specific rules in baseball:
You MUST run straight when you are a runner.
A double play is when two runners got out on the same play.
When wearing the helmet, you MUST have the strap appplied and tightened.
There are two foul lines, bith spreading from the home plate, but one is lined up with the third base and the other is lined up with the first. The ball lands behind those lines, it's a foul. A foul will be considered strike unless two strikes were made already.
I'll have to put more up later. Bye.

don't cheat and that's all the rules
the Knickerbocker Club came up with the rules of it
There are alot of rules in baseball. One of the safety rules that I know of is that no game participant may carelessly throw a bat. If they do, there penalty is a team warning. Also, on some teams, you can not steal the bases. Stealing is when the pitcher is going to pitch the ball but you steal the base and go on to the next base. I hope I helped you!! 1845 is when the Knickerbockers made the baseball rules. Hope that helped (:
