Foods with a low glycemic index include roasted or salted peanuts, low fat yoghurt, cherries, grapefruit, pearl barley, red lentils, whole milk, dried apricots, butter beans, fettucine pasta, skimmed milk, wholemeal spaghetti, apples, Pears, canned tomato soup and noodles.

Some of the most tasty low glycemic foods are good grains like brown rice and beans. I really love 3 bean soups and couscous. There are great recipes for all of these and more. The best thing to do is go to an all natural store or website to make your dry grain purchases.
