The dangers of beta radiation are that it can penetrate skin to the germinal layer which is where new skin cells are produced and if the beta emitting contaminants are allowed to remain on the skin for too long they can cause skin injuries.

alpha radiation contain alpha particle which has a mass equal to helium nuclius and velocity about one tenth of velocity of light so they are penetrating rays in human body and may cause cancer..

(If you swallow A particles they cause serious damage because they ionise DNA.)

Beta particles cannot penetrate very far into the human body. Ionization occurs in the first few layers of skin cells and would almost never penetrate clothing.

well to start with, beta burns. often look similar to sunburn but usually localized and they usually go through all layers instead of stopping in first couple like a sunburn would.
