Although there are many cultural differences in the application of the faith, Islam requires that people, especially women, dress in a modest and non-provocative fashion. There is no proscription in the Koran that requires them to cover their face.
There are few proscriptions with regard to diet, except that all meat has to be Halal, which means that the animal is slaughtered in a prescribed ritual by cutting the throat and letting the blood flow. Pork, as well as any pork product, is totally forbidden as it is deemed to be unclean.
