For high school runners, Track and Field distance events include the 400m, 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and 4x400m. Occasionally, some high schools compete in distance medleys which may be a 4x800m or 400, 800, 1200, 1600 relay or 4 x1600m.

For the Olympics, the distance events include: 400m, 800m, 1600m, 3000m, 5000m, and 10000m. There are also relays, the most famous one being 4x400m.

Well there are numerous different types of sprint events in Track and Field but the most commonly ran are the 50m(Indoor), 55m(indoor), 100m, 200m, 300m(outdoor),and 400m
