The major problem is getting access to the health system. Waiting times can be quite long, for regular appointments, non-emergency operations and emergency services. Having private health insurance can speed up access, but this sets up a two-tier system, as not everyone can afford private health insurance. The major pro is that when you get into the health system you are looked after well. There are good staff and facilities.
