I'm pretty sure because it is colder they slow their breathing down or something.
im not sure but my goldfish turns upside down and is pretty much dead but still breathing but hes got worms
It will slow down Because the fish will able to relax and calm down in cooler water. It will be able to slow down the process of breathing. there is more air to breathe in cooler water so the fish will take longer breathes. me and my frineds did an activity about that and the answer is that it actually increases by a little
A decrease in goldfish's respiratory rate would be caused by one of two things. The first would be that the dissolved oxygen levels increased somehow and now the fish does not have to breath as fast to get the same amount of oxygen. The second reason would be because the water, it is in, experienced a cool down in temperature- this can sometimes instinctively cause a fish to go into a kind of hibernation where it slows down it's bodily functions (including breathing) until the water returns to normal.
If the goldfish is upside down and it is bloated, ................................It might be DEAD!
When the water gets colder the goldfish's metabolism will slow down and won't allow the fish to ingest food properly- so there would be no point in feeding them.
I'm sorry, but your goldfish is dead....
Goldfish can winter under the ice in ponds provided there is an area of the surface kept free of ice where there can be a free exchange of gasses between the water and the air. So the answer is they can live in water just above freezing.
up and down
The steady rate of your breathing is regularly on beat. But if your hesitating or if you have a problem like with asthma or many other reasons then you would normally take a bag and have yourself breathe into it. that way you can breathe better and calm down your lungs from being pressured.
There are a multitude of reasons why this could have happened, and we have no way of narrowing it down. Contaminated water, incorrect pH level of the water, shock induced by transfer of or transfer to water, bad food, disease, etc... all possible reasons.
No! If they swim upside down, put ur kids in another room, take the goldfish and flush it down the toilet......cause it's dead
Yes.Because if a fish is doing anything it's not supposed to do it's sick.A cool fact is that when a fish is dying it's top fin is down.
