Try L'Ambroisie... a teriffic restaurant in the 4th Arrondissement. Absolutely 5-star. Also there's a small 5 star seafood restaurant we like called Stella Maris in the 8th Arrondissement which is near the Arch.
Due to their excellent dining experiences some of the most famous restaurants in Paris include Bistrot Paul Bert, Septime, and Chez Casimir. Another restaurant known as the Chateaubriand is always so packed that unless you make a reservation, you will standing on the sidewalk for hours.

NO, not only are all restaurants in Paris are in France so they all are French and no restaurants in New York City are in France so none of them are French! But (in my guess) also the total number of restaurants in both cities are approximately the same and I do not think that NYC has specialized in French cuisine to the degree that there are more resturants serving French food there than in Paris.
