Best Answer

All are teachings of God/Allah that were revealed to us once again through their respective Prophets/Messengers. On careful study and understanding of each/all these religions one can see that all share common values and teachings.

  • Prophets of the three religions are descendants of the prophet Abraham (Ibrahim).
  • The three religions call for the same God worshiping
  • They also follow the basic ten commandments
  • The three religions call for practicing same basic ritual worships (although differently in the rituals) as praying, fasting, alms giving, etc.
  • The three religions call for the same morals that governs humans.
  • Islam is the second largest religion in the world after Christianity. As a monotheistic faith that originated in the Middle East, Islam holds many beliefs and practices in common with Judaism and Christianity.

All three religions say that Jerusalem was a holy city.
-For Islam Jerusalem was where the prophet Muhammad rose to heaven.
-In Christianity, Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead in Jerusalem.
-For Judaism, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital since BCE 1500 and this was the city of David. There is also the Western Wall that is located there that Jews pray at, which is all that remains of the second temple destroyed by Romans in 70 BCE.

In reality, there really is no similarity to best describe the Judeo-Christian beliefs of God to the Muslim Islamic belief.

Judaism and Christianity have the Old Testament in common. Islam believes both OT and NT have been partially corrupted in transmission while the Koran is believed by Muslims to be the final and infallible revelation of God's will.

Though Muslims believe in God which they call Allah, Islam teaches that Allah is all-powerful, sovereign and 'unknowable' while Judaism and Christianity both teach the Creator God to be revealed as merciful, compassionate and knowable (see Jeremiah 9:24 and John 17:3).

The Christian text teaches the God of the Old Testament was the Word and it was He who Abraham and the other patriarchs and prophets worshiped. Islam teaches the Word, aka Jesus 'as one of perhaps 124,000 messengers of prophets Allah has sent and is one of the 25 listed in the Koran - but He is not the redeemer' (Marvin Olasky, "Islam vs. Liberty," World, Sept 10, 2011).

All in all, there are more differences and conflicts between the Judeo-Christian texts and the Muslim text - as well as the Koranic conflicts with secular history.

There are similarities (belief in God), but they are not all the same. They are far from all the same. Just for example, Christianity and Judaism don't accept that Muhammad was a prophet, Christianity and Islam don't accept the Talmud, and Judaism and Islam don't accept the divinity of Jesus.

Judaism (the religion of Jews), Christianity and Islam (the religion of Muslims) are sometimes referred to as Abrahamicreligions, because all three religions teach that Abraham was the patriarch and ancestor of the Jews and Arabs. Followers of all three religions believe in the same God, although Christians also believe that Jesus was the son of God, while Muslims believe that Islam's founder, Muhammad, was the last and greatest prophet. And all three religions, in their modern forms, teach that each person has a soul that will be judged, and the righteous will go to heaven.
Jews, Christians and Muslems share more than just a great deal of theology. In their non-fundamentalist forms, Judaism, Christianity and Islam teach high moral values and ethical living.
