Please check with the person you are planning to buy it for and make sure they are willing to make the commitment and continue to care for it. I have seen so many bearded dragons up for adoption (such as Craigslist) by people who lost interest and no longer want them. Make sure the one receiving the beardie has the money to upgrade the cage as the beardie grows.
Buy from a private breeder.
You should never pay more than 40 dollars for a regular-colored female.
