Don't feel you need to scrap every picture ever. Choose 10% of the best pix from an event to scrap. Keep the other 90% in a photo album to look at if you want to see all the pix.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use original, irreplaceable photos. If you have some old photos you'd like to scrap, scan them in, and either print them out yourself or e-mail them to a developer to be processed.
Start small. You don't need to buy everything. All you really need to get started is: pictures, adhesive, a scrapbook, and some decorative papers.
Know that scrapping, like anything else, takes time to get good at. Don't be discouraged if your first attempts aren't as beautiful as you'd like. You'll get better and better as you scrap more.
