Kissing, touching, holding hands, sharing towels / soap, contact with sweat, being spat at, using a toilet that an infected person has used, drinking from the same cup etc .. in fact, all of those activities arguably pose a far greater (though still insignificantly small) health risk to the HIV-positive person than they do the uninfected person.

You CAN'T get HIV from sharing cups unless that person has a cut or sore in their mouth. But you can never know who does and who doesn't, and whether they would tell you if they did. So sharing a cup with an HIV infected person can be risky, but you won't necessarily get it.
