There is one and only answer, and it is so simple but so neglected. It is described in the Sermon on the Mount, in the Gospel of Matthew. Namely, true alms are to be given in perfect privacy, away from any body's knowledge. Everything else (I will repeat: everything else!) is a false, hypocritical act performed in order to imitate true devotion. That means that all those people with their public charitable actions and organizations are deceiving themselves thinking that their efforts are having a real, heavenly level and reward. Someone who would like to do the thing as it should be done, should perform some action of feeding, clothing and helping people in need in an absolute privacy. As it is described 'let not your left hand know what your right hand do.' Matthew 6:1-4. WARNING: It is the ONLY right way. And one more thing: no matter how simply it seems, yet it needs a lot of heed, intelligence and zeal. For reward is more than abundant and pleasant.
